Homemade Oat Milk

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats (old-fashioned)
  • 4 cups ice-cold water
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Optional: 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Add the rolled oats, ice-cold water, salt, and vanilla extract (if using) to a high-speed blender.
  2. Blend on high for 20–30 seconds only. Avoid over-blending, as it can warm the oats and create a gummy texture.
  3. Pour the mixture through an Ellie’s Best Nut Milk Bag into a large bowl or pitcher.
  4. Allow the liquid to strain naturally. For the smoothest oat milk, avoid squeezing the bag too firmly.
  5. Transfer the oat milk to a sealed jar or bottle and refrigerate.
  6. Shake before serving. Enjoy within 3–5 days.
