Blue Spirulina Marshmallows
Ingredients:
- 6tbsp grass-fed beef gelatin
- 1 cup water (for gelatin)
- 3/4cup water
- 3/4 cup of maple syrup
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 - 1 tbsp of Ellie’s Best Blue Spirulina (amount depending on the color you want)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, add water to gelatin and let it bloom. (Absorb all the water)
- In a small pot, bring water, maple syrup and vanilla to a simmer.
- Add in the gelatin and stir to let it melt completely in.
- immediately add to a bowl and use a hand mixer to whip it into a fluffy consistency with no more liquid, this may take 10-15 minutes.
- Add blue spirulina and whip until fully combined.
- Transfer to a square baking dish (put some wax paper down with some powdered sugar or I used arrowroot flour so it comes out easily) and put them into the fridge for 1-2 hours or until “solid”.
- Cut into squares, add to an hot coffee or eat by itself and enjoy!
