Spirulina Chocolate Chip “Nice Cream”

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole milk 
  • 2 cups heavy cream 
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup 
  • 2-3 tbsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt 
  • 1 cup chopped Lilys sugar free chocolate chips 
  • 2 tbsp Ellie’s Best Blue Spirulina (add more if you want more color)
  • Cuisinart Ice cream maker (not necessary, use freezer safe dish instead)

 

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients in a bowl and mix until well combined.
  2. Pour into your ice cream maker and let it go for 20min or until creamy ice cream consistency is reached.
    *if you do not have and Ice Cream maker you can just add it to a dish and let it freeze to the consistency you want or overnight)
  3. Once your ice cream is the consistency you want (about 20min) add in your chopped chocolate chips and let them get mixed in before taking out of the ice cream maker.
  4. Enjoy immediately or add to a tin or tub and store in the freezer!
