Pumpkin Spice Almond Milk
ow that its fall and everything at the store has pumpkin in it, we thought we’d join the party and come up with a delicious twist on the traditional almond milk. Introducing…Pumpkin Spice Almond Milk!
- 1 batch Basic Almond Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Pumpkin Spice ( I used the Trader Joe’s brand but any will do the trick)
- 1/2 cup Organic Pumpkin Puree
- 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup (I found it needed sweetener so I added the maple syrup and it was perfect in my opinion. You can use any sweetener you like or leave it out.)
First make your basic almond milk and filter with our nut milk bag. Then pour the strained milk back into the blender and add the additional ingredients. (You may want to leave out the sweetener to taste before you add any. You may like it this way.) Then blend for a minute to mix thoroughly. Taste and add sweetener as desired. Chill for a few hours and enjoy! Or if you’re in the mood, heat it up and enjoy it hot! For a little extra fun add a dash of cinnamon on top!
Oh and if you really want to spice it up you can add your favorite liquor to it…perhaps a little rum or bourbon!?
