Birthday Cake Donuts


  • 1c all-purpose flour or 1:1 gf flour
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • 1/4tsp baking soda
  • 1/4tsp salt
  • 1/3c cane sugar
  • 1/2c almond milk
  • 1tsp apple cider vinegar (sub vinegar)
  • 2tbsp coconut oil (melted & cooled)
  • 1/4c applesauce
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 2tbsp sprinkles

Vanilla glaze:

  • 2/3c powdered sugar
  • 1tbsp almond milk
  • 1/4tsp vanilla extract
  • 2tbsp sprinkles (for topping)

  1.  Preheat oven to 375F and grease a donut pan
  2.  In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients except sprinkles
  3.  In a medium bowl, stir together wet ingredients
  4.  Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix until just combined (do not overmix!)
  5.  Fold in sprinkles
  6.  Transfer batter into donut moulds and fill each 3/4 way full
  7.  Bake for 10mins or until toothpick comes out clean. Allow donuts to cool completely before frosting
  8.  For the glaze: mix together all the ingredients in a shallow bowl until smooth and silky. Dip cooled donuts into glaze and top with extra sprinkles. Place on a cooling rack for about 20mins to allow glaze to set. Enjoy! 🥳
